Early 20th Century Oak And Cane Jardiniere Stand
A striking jardiniere stand in oak and cane, probably dating from the early 1900s. The solid oak top and under-shelf are supported on elegantly curved ball-footed legs, part wrapped in canework. The woven cane top section creates a graceful wave effect, giving the piece a slightly oriental feel.
The piece is in good vintage condition showing minor wear, surface marking and colour variation. The oak of the shelves show lovely grain and patina, with the under-shelf showing more colour variation than the top. The cane work is in good condition throughout showing just the odd split to the cane of the decorative trims and the odd dark age related mark.
