1960s Stag Concord Chest Of Drawers designed by John and Sylvia Reid

This simple and elegant Concord chest of drawers in light oak veneer was designed by John and Sylvia Reid for Stag in the 1960s.  The Reids were modernist architects, and their early Stag ranges epitomised their minimalist aesthetic, eschewing decoration and in some cases even handles.  This piece does have drawer handles, but its clean lines and shadow gap around the drawer fronts are classic early Reid signifiers.

Overall the piece is in great condition - the legs are sturdy, the handles are securely attached and there are no significant scratches or marks on the cabinet sides or drawer fronts.  However, one of the front corners of the top has become somewhat mottled (presumably from some kind of spillage).  This is noticeable, but the surface texture is smooth and the marked area is relatively small (see photos), so it could be considered a feature!
