Cool 1973 HMV Stereogramme On Industrial Hairpin Legs

Dating from 1973, this cool Stereogramme has been given a lift - both literally and metaphorically - by the addition of a set of sleek and funky hairpin legs in place of the original rickety supports it sat on.  The case is made from a surprisingly effective wood grain laminate, while the electrical gubbins were made by reputable manufacturer Thorn.

The piece is in good vintage condition.  The case has a couple of small scratches, nicks and marks (see photos) but nothing that affects its overall look.  Everything has been PAT tested and the radio and record player both deliver a lovely warm and rich sound, but the needle does need to be lifted off the record when it's finished playing.  There's sometimes a bit of crackling when the volume or tone knobs are turned, but this stops as soon as you stop turning the knob.

Overall this is a very cool and stylish way to get the best from your vinyl collection!
